Embracing Winter - The Women's Retreat

This is your chance to immerse yourself in rural West Ireland, embrace the outdoors and to blow away the cobwebs while stretching your body, calming your mind and soothing your soul. This retreat experience, created by Sophie Hellyer, is aimed at empowering women to discover their passions and creating lasting change. During this 5-night retreat, through a balance of yoga, outdoor adventure and relaxation, Sophie will take care of the agenda so you can really let go and enter into retreat mode.

Cliffs of Moher

 

Studies show that women perform better in all female environments. We participate more actively, feel less anxious and have more confidence in our ability. To love and give fully is bliss, so an environment that supports this is important. We hope that creating this gender specific space will help more women flourish. We also want to create a welcoming and safe space for those who fall outisde the gender binary, female identifying members of the trans community are welcome on this retreat.

 

Thrill your adventurous side with cold water surfs and breathtaking views as you hike The Cliffs of Moher, soothe your contemplative side, with deeply nourishing vinyasa yoga and mindfulness meditations, and give back to the community with local beach clean ups.

 

 

The retreat will have a strong focus on treading lightly and sustainability, from a plant based local & organic diet with veggies straight from the garden to the table, to consciously practicing plastic free living. Enjoy a cookery class, with food from farm to table; harvest the veggies alongside our local gardener and then learn how to prepare and cook that evening’s meal.

 

Activities will include an opening women’s circle, daily vinyasa flow yoga class, hike from The Cliffs of Moher to Haggs Head, surf lessons (all standards welcome, beginner & advanced lessons available), cookery class, beach clean up (2 minute beach clean) and use of outdoor hot tub and sauna. There will also be plenty of free time each day to relax with a massage on site, visit new surf spots, pop up to Moy Hill Farm, find a cosy spot for coffee or simply be.

 

Of course, Sophie will be going for their daily #risefierce cold water sea dip (weather and tide dependant) so the bravest among you are more than welcome to join here too in the free time.
