Embrace the joy of escapism with a special weekend of yoga, meditation and self-discovery.
Summer is the season of abundance, its energy radiates. It’s a time for play and relaxation, a time to enjoy the light and the warmer climate, a time to recharge the battery for the coming autumn and winter and a time to make the most of our more limber bodies.
During these 3 days, you will bask in the benefits the ancient practice of yoga gives, through alignment based vinyasa yoga as well as explore the healing powers of yin yoga, pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra.
For our Friday 6pm class: With the beauty of nature surrounding us and the summer light flooding in, we will unwind, reset and ground ourselves through a more gentle yoga flow practice that will focus on releasing and letting go. You never know what you may find buried behind those shoulder blades. You will leave feeling limber and lighter.
For the Vinyasa Class: This is a 2hr vinyasa yoga class that will open up and balance the solar plexus, our 3rdchakra. The solar plexus thrives on sunlight so we will seize the light and make the most of the summer weather by activating this energy within by finding our true core. When the solar plexus is balanced we feel motivated, confident and find it easier to be in the moment. Everyone will be encouraged to work at their own level, yoga props will be used to make the postures more comfortable, you’ll discover new alignment nuggets and feel like a summer lovin yogi.
Our Saturday Yin Yoga Class: Summer is the yang season and it can end up being a very busy time. To find balance during this warmer dryer time for our bodies, here we will invite more cooling movements by exploring the healing power of yin yoga. We will use a practice to restore the body by focusing on the organs of the body that need to work harder to regulate temperature through deep slow stretching. Soothe your nervous system, release deep held tension and quiet the mind.
On Sunday the yoga class will seal your weekend with a gorgeous morning practice that will include a little bit of everything. Loosen up the body and calm the mind for the journey ahead. This creative mix of yoga poses will move the spine in all its ranges of motion for vitality, will include balancing poses for clarity, a delicious wind down for calm and a final relaxation for peace and quiet, once again soaking up all the beauty of nature that will surround us. You will leave feeling awake, refreshed and ready for a bright shiny day.
