Throughout the weekend we will have yoga morning and evening, pay a visit to a holy well (a tradition at Lughnasa), take an early morning walk on the cliffs, sit under the sky in the hottub at sundown and we will seize any chance to jump off rocks into the sea at high tide.

And marking the Celtic festival of Lughnasa we will cultivate the practices of gratitude and appreciation as we celebrate and harvest the gifts and blessings in our lives.

There are many things in our lives to celebrate and appreciate but because we are hardwired for negativity we rarely stop to count our blessings and experience the joy. Over theses 4 days we will look at this habitual tendency and transform it through yoga, mindfulness and coaching. We will take time to savour and linger, let the good in and begin to rewire our neurology for Joy.

“Joy is not a constant. It comes to us in moments – often ordinary moments. Sometimes we miss out on the bursts of joy because we’re too busy chasing down the extraordinary moments. Other times we’re so afraid of the dark we don’t dare let ourselves enjoy the light. A joyful life is not a floodlight of joy. That would eventually become unbearable. I believe a joyful life is made up of joyful moments gracefully strung together by trust, gratitude and inspiration” Brené Brown
